What is Electrolysis?

For over 130 years, electrolysis has been and remains the only 100% permanent hair removal method recognized by the government regulatory agencies.

Is Electrolysis safe?

Electrolysis is a completely safe method of hair removal for all women and men. We use only disposable needles. Electrolysis is also safe for pregnant women.

What areas can be treated?

I treat clients for areas such as chin, jaw, neck, upper lip and eyebrows.

Is Electrolysis painful?

Most people find treatments quite tolerable especially after a few sessions; however, many topical numbing creams are available over the counter to make you more comfortable.

Causes of excessive hair growth

If you are embarrassed by unwanted hair, you are not alone. It is estimated that 90% of all men and women may be effected to some degree. Factors that can cause or add to unwanted hair growth are; heredity, stress, glandular or hormonal imbalances, puberty, reactions to certain medications, pregnancy, menopause and the aging process generally, as well as excessive waxing and tweezing. In many cases this will contribute to hair growing back coarser, darker and deeper than before.

Pre treatment

You will need to stop waxing and tweezing, shaving or trimming is fine. You will need 2-4 days of growth before each session. Come with a clean face and applied topical numbing cream if desired 30 minutes before your appointment.

Post treatment

Expect mild redness and swelling after treatments. Everyones skin is different but on average clients redness and swelling goes down within 2 hours after treatment. Ice, aloe vera, lavender, tea tree and SPF are great after treatment remedies.
